Reformer Pilates in Bangkok, Taught One-on-One

What is a reformer?

A reformer is the sliding-carriage apparatus at the centre of equipment Pilates: a frame, a moving carriage, adjustable springs, ropes and a footbar. The springs provide resistance or assistance, which is what makes the reformer both scalable for athletes and gentle enough for rehabilitation — if someone sets it correctly for your body.

Why we only teach it privately

That "if" is the reason The Best Pilates runs no group classes. In a group reformer class, spring settings and choreography are standardised; the instructor can correct a fraction of repetitions. In our private and duet sessions, your instructor sets resistance, tempo and range for you and watches every rep. For beginners, desk workers with posture issues, clients managing back pain, and pre/postnatal training, that supervision is the difference between progress and aggravation.

How a session works

Your first visit starts with a consultation, an InBody body-composition scan and posture photos. From that baseline your instructor builds a program and progresses it session by session. The studio is at Sukhumvit 30/1, five minutes' walk from BTS Phrom Phong, open daily 08:00–20:00, with free valet parking and a private shower room.

Who reformer Pilates helps most

Office workers reversing rounded shoulders and stiff hips; clients with recurring back pain who need controlled, low-impact strength work; women training through pregnancy and postpartum recovery; and anyone returning to exercise who wants strength without joint stress.

FAQ

Reformer or mat Pilates — which should a beginner choose?

Both build the same principles, but the reformer's springs guide and support movement, which most beginners find easier to learn correctly — especially with an instructor adjusting settings for them.

I have back pain. Is the reformer safe for me?

In a supervised private setting the reformer is one of the most controllable ways to strengthen around back pain, because load and range are fully adjustable. Your program starts from your assessment, and we progress conservatively. (For acute injuries, consult your doctor first.)

How often should I train to see results?

Most clients train one to two sessions per week. Consistency over months matters more than intensity in any single week.

What should I wear?

Fitted, stretchable clothing and grip socks. Showers and complimentary coffee are available at the studio.
